WORKSHOP | BIPOC BALLROOM SESSION – LED BY KRIS ESHU 007

BIPoC Ballroom Session - Embracing the Rich Heritage of Ballroom Culture Experience the vibrant world of Ballroom, an art form that originated within the Black and Latinx drag and trans community in Harlem, New York. This session aims to create a safer space for the local Berlin community to exchange, train and heal. A donation of 3 euros is kindly requested. Ticket: 3 Euro - Donation basis Registration: For registration, please write an email to kris.flows@outlook.com Language: English and German   Biography Kris Eshu 007 Christopher aka Kris Eshu 007 (pronouns: They/Them), is an Afropean movement artist, dancer, voguer and yoga teacher. They started learning Vogue in 2015 and specialise in Vogue (New Way) performance. Judging and performing across Europe, organising balls, giving workshops, promoting Ballroom and creating more spaces for queer BIPOC community @kris.eshu.007 studied psychology at the University of Birmingham (Msc) and conducted a thesis on the efficacy of a support group in people with psychosis. While working in London in palliative care in a hospice they discovered personally the healing and therapeutic effects of dance, especially in the form of voguing. Comic Workshop für Queere BIPOC

Haus der Vielfalt Wilhelm-Buschst. 12,, Berlin - Neukölln

Wir freuen uns sehr über einen ganz besonderen Comic Workshop für Queere BIPOC ❤️mit @patuparia ! Im Workshop beschäftigten wir uns mit dem Erzählen von Geschichten in Comic Form. Es können verschiedene visuelle Erzählarten ausprobiert werden. Ob fiktional, autofiktional, autobiographisch, poetisch, lustig oder traurig - alle Erzählweisen und Stimmungen finden im Comic einen Platz. Der Workshop ist für queere BIPoC ab 18 Jahre. Bereits vorhandene Zeichnungen, Texte oder Gedichte können mitgebracht werden. Vorkenntnisse sind aber keine Voraussetzung. *** Patu ist Comiczeichner*in/ - autor*in, Visual artist, Illustrator*in und Zinemaker of Color. Zudem arbeitet Patu an Boomzines mit, dem ersten Archiv / Webplattform für BIPoC Zines und Selfpublishing im deutschsprachigen Raum. @boomzines @patuparia Der Workshop findet auf engl./deutsch am 21.,22. und 28.10. im Haus der Vielfalt in der Wilhelm Buschstr.12 jeweils von 13-16 Uhr statt.
