With our society at the precipice of a spiritual revolution, every second day one of your friends is discovering their true calling as a shaman, healer, energy worker, light-worker, witch, fortune teller, goddess, priestess, medium, ecstatic dance facilitator, or cacao DJ. While the life coaches are slowly moving from helping you on your quest of self-actualisation to helping other life coaches create online courses, training people to become life coaches, we are fast approaching a time where the space holders will outnumber the space seekers…
While there are still some people to hold space for, maybe there is still some time to inquire what this work actually entails. What does it mean to hold space for others? Is it a job anybody can do? What is the skill set required for this? If you are searching for well held spaces, possibly you might wonder how to determine whether your local space holder is up to the task.
We seek to create a space of mutual enquiry into this topic, all while first and foremost also having fun! We will come together at the Nazarethkirche on the 21 of September at 19:30. We will host a discussion panel titled “The art of holding space” with an anthropologist Arne Harms, choreographer Tanja Saban,
classical musician Mayuko Miyata, yogi Felix Hammoser and hosted by Bartosz Zurowski.
We will also invite our guest to offer a short practice to the crowd. Expect a new take on spiritual practices, a sober view on their problematic parts but also practice of Amazonian mantras, body exploration and dancing to electronic music.
This will be the first of a series of events combining science, anthropology, art, politics and electronic music to investigate new social practices, rituals and communities. We wish to create a space of exchange and we would love you to be part of it.
